Feb 25, 2009 Of the multitude of ways people are using Twitter the most interesting and tome I've noticed people on Twitter linking to specific posts http://twitter.com/brennannovak/status/1250554083 But if I were to change my Twitter Username to "brennann" the above link would not work anymore. You would have to change your links to http://twitter.com/brennann/status/1250554083 This problem has an easy solution. Don't change your Twitter Username EVER!!! Or don't link to your status update. Social Media Rule #1
Feb 11, 2009 As companies and organizations are just starting to catch onto the idea of capitalizing on Social Media, behavior practices are starting to emerge- A common question a business entering social media may be ask themselves: 1.) If I have a company and I want to setup a Twitter account to better market via social media should I set it up for myself, my company or both? RULE #1 My first instinct is both, use your company account to do posts about what your company is doing, plans to do, or finds out in the world that somehow relates. Use your personal account to form personal relationships with collaborators, employees, and customers. The only time I think a company/person should have just one account is when they NEVER plan to grow larger than the size of 1. It's just like in the real world, which is why groups of people form companies in first place. Two steps forward...
